Dhaka University student Saiyed Abdullah describes the background history of institution of freedom fighter quota in government job in 1972. It was instituted as an interim rule which is not supposed to be in action after 53 years of independence. He also states that reforming this quota is a state policy and court can’t intervene if the government passes a rule through parliament. He condemns the extent of quota reserved for the grandchildren of the freedom fighters. The flawed quota system doesn’t serve the disadvantaged community anymore due to its multiple use starting from getting recruited in government job to getting promoted
